Sago-Green
Banana patties
Ingredients:
White Sago pearls - 2 cups; Green Banana powder - 250 grams; Cooking Oil - 4
tablespoons; Salt; Red Chilli powder; Water.
a) Take 2
cups of white sago pearls and soak them in 1L water for 3-4 hours.
b) Drain the water
and keep the sago.
c) Mix 250
grams of green banana powder in the soaked sago. If you don't get green banana
powder, you may boil 4-5 green bananas, peel and mash them and then mix them in
the sago.
d) Add 4
tablespoons of cooking oil.
e) Add salt
and red chilli powder as per your taste.
f) Mix and
knead all the above material into a dough while adding 1/2 cup water gradually.
g) Make out
round and flat patties from the dough.
h) Take some cooking
oil in your palm and rub it on the patties.
i) Arrange
the patties on a microwavable plate and microwave them on 800 W setting for 7
minutes.
j) Heat the
patties in a flat pan on an electric stove/hot plate on 2000 W setting till
both sides are firm and crisp.
j) Allow them
to cool. They can be eaten as it is or with tomato ketchup or sauce.
