Stir fried
Veg Noodles
Ingredients:
Hakka Noodles - 300 grams; Medium sized Onions - 3; Chopped Vegetables (diced
carrots, cauliflower, french beans, sweet corn and peas) - 300 grams; Cooking Oil - 50 ml;
Dark Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons; Salt; Sugar; Water.
a) Take 300
grams of hakka noodles broken into 2 inch long pieces and steam them in 1.5 L
water in microwave on 800 W setting for 10 minutes.
b) Drain the
noodles in a strainer and again rinse and strain them in cold water so that the
hot noodles don't stick together.
c) Take 50 ml
cooking oil in a non-sticking wok or cooking pot and heat it on electric stove
on 2000 W setting for a minute.
d) Put in 3
medium sized onions after slicing them and fry them till they are translucent.
e) Add salt
and some sugar as per taste.
f) Add 300
grams of chopped vegetables (diced carrots, cauliflower, french beans, sweet corn and peas) and
stir fry them with the onions till the vegetables are soft.
g) Add about
2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce and stir fry the vegetables for another half a
minute.
h) Add the
noodles to the vegetables and stir fry on 1000 W setting for 2 minutes.
i) Serve the
veg noodles hot.
